USA vs. Italy (1)
Back from 20 days in the U.S., it is natural to me to compare our country with the U.S. and quite a few differences in the eyes jump.
Grand Canyon, nothing around for miles and miles .. near a lookout point there is' a banquet without walls or a roof worthy of the name, where the Navajo sell local crafts. You stop the car (to look at the view) and see that banquets in the stands an inscription: "Visa and MasterCard accepted."
Today Cordusio square, Milan, heart, as Milan: I'm going to pay a bill in an ultramodern post office. I offer my trusty credit card (to be worn in 20 days States :-) and I hear someone say "We are not authorized to pay by credit card." Spending my ATM that only works with the chip (magnetic stripe .. way) and they also say "No, we can not use the chips."
the end I paid a bill to hold back from asking if they accepted the "paper" I was afraid of having to resort to barter. There are 6 years
