But Ajax is it? Calling all translators

For those who take seriously the question, I recommend the Wikipedia page on Ajax.

But clearly I just wanted to mention one of my usual Naneddoti:
about a year ago, we were in a meeting with a potential customer, and we begin to talk about what makes a platform developed by us.
Among the customers there 's also one of my former university fellow and I think "Great! Support! An engineer! How lucky I am."

do not know why, the discussion ends up on Ajax: I confess that when I had a great familiarity on the subject, just those few concepts useful for a chat in a pub. I end up talking a bit 'and I say "Yes, indeed .. the dynamism offered by the paradigm Ajax ..."

confess that perhaps too many times I read Dilbert, and therefore the choice of the word "paradigm" may have been a "crap" and in fact my ex-colleague stops me, and, with the authority given to him by his great experience in says:

"No, Ajax is not a paradigm .... is a language! "

.. to me at that point are (I think rightly) ball rolling off my chair .. I think I began to mutter things like "well, actually it is an innovative way to use technology already "but I saw that already looked at me with an air of compassion for those who have caught a fake expert" ... oh, well ... hopefully later he realized the error.

It reminded me of when in 1996 he felt the interviews Internet and had asked the library of my hometown "These days there is much talk of the Internet, but what the Internet" and "Internet is a program that ..." (GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)

But then they were also the same time to ask if the newspaper had "Internet News" we hear, "No, here we only Forza Milan :-)
